Hello everyone, hope you all had a good summer. I’ve just gone back to school and I’m glad to see all my friends again.

We had a really good summer, mom and dad took Max and I to Portugal and I was swimming every day and made lots of new friends. Later on we had a long weekend in Bournemouth so I could see Mark who is making my new legs in Ringwood, Dorset. We’ve been down lots of times to make sure that they will be a good fit and mom says that we should get them very soon. At August Bank holiday we went to Warwick Castle and saw the nights jousting and fighting with swords, it was great.

Over the summer there have been other great things happening, we had a car boot sale at Asda and raised over £450 for me, lots of people have been running half and full marathon’s and climbing mountains for me too, they are very kind friends.

In July I met other boys and girls like me at a REACH meeting (www.reach.org.uk). It was very nice to see other people have similar problems but we are really just the same as any other children. We made just as much noise and just as much mess. Mom and dad are taking me to the annual general meeting in October at Leeds.

The most exciting thing has just happened, I got to meet my dad’s hero Super Bob Taylor who used to play for West Bromwich Albion. Dad was shaking with anticipation before meeting him. We had a photo with Bob and another lovely man called Steve Bull who used to play for Wolves. They are helping with my fundraising on 2nd November. Mom and Dad are taking me to my first match on 30th September, I can’t wait. I’ve had a new shirt and everything.

This month I have re-started my swimming lessons and hope to start karate too, it’ll make be big and strong. Mom says she is worried about being part mom, part wrestling referee.

Thanks again for all your support.
Love from Oscar xxxx
